Why is unity so slow

But once I open the browser i do not see any problem like I can access net pretty fast as same as my windows 7. I did search in google. Someone said i need to edit the XORG. In previous versions it just stopped accepting input for a few moments when you did those things. I actually like it. Now Unity is telling me what it's doing when it pauses.
