This makes Silver Lake one of L. Silver Lake — The chain-link fence has been around the reservoirs for so long that we take it for granted. Overall, swimming beaches around Puget Sound consistently get a clean bill of health. But Silver Lake is one of a handful of Puget Sound swimming areas that show signs of chronic pollution that could send swimmers home with a bad case of diarrhea. Current vehicle permits are required on all vehicles using the area. The reservoir and surrounding neighborhood are overlooked by the Hollywood Sign.

The scientific sounding problem: Silver Lake is prone to seasonal algae blooms. Some of the side streets close by are great hill climbs for a bit but extra cardio. Gets hot in the sun. I honestly love running here. I only run in the street to avoid maneuvering around people. The asphalt trail is locked off so you have to wheel along in the dirt. Not great. The view was peering thru a chainlink fence.

The only positive was that the people were all very nice. Not wheelchair friendly unless you have an all terrain wheelchair. The asphalt road is locked off with no access. You have to take the dirt road around and peer thru the chainlink fence. This is a nice and easy walk. Great place for a run to, but can be pretty crowded if you don't get here early. Although the reservoir itself is pretty to look at, the loop itself is outside the reservoir which is guarded by a fence.

It's alright. Not the best, but not bad. This is one of my go-to running paths. Nice walk without too much incline and wide paths that allow for social distancing.

It was a great walk, only had one major incline. We enjoyed the loop and then the meadow to stretch and refuel. Nice city walk with a well maintained trail. Almost all flat. Incline in a few spots but not much.

Pretty busy but not unbearably so. Shade is minimal. The trail was nice. Very easy loop that gives way to a couple grassy areas to lounge at. In particular, one person not wearing their mask correctly muttered something under his breath as he passed me and my friend. On a brighter note, there are 2 large dog parks if you want to bring your dogs for a play date.

Bring sunscreen, water, and lose clothes because you will sweat and need some air. Great park to run around. This was a fun trail that was simple, ample parking, and straight to the point. Nice walk. Surprised how much parking there was at 4pm on a Thursday.

A wonderful urban trail around the Silver Lake. There is the Rec Center in the southwest corner and the dog park in the southeast corner of this route. Accessibility: There are no designated accessible spaces alongside of Silver Lake Boulevard where the route starts on the south end.

The most accessible portion of the trail is the first mile when heading clockwise when the asphalt road is not gated off. If the paved section is closed off, all-terrain strollers or motorized wheelchairs may be needed to go on the unpaved sections. Reviews January 23, Kyle Holtgrave.
